Originally appearing on the very first of the Split EP series that launched the label in 2017, Knoll branches out from the dungeons of mechanical sci-fi techno into a tranquil bath of heady breaks and insular, meditative downtempo.

A1’s title track massages the brain with soft rainy day keys and sexy spoken word, while not sparing low end big system sub bass lines. Perfect for having tea with a friend, or slow dancing in the wee hours of an after party.

On the flip side, Lil Skipper combines early Warp era IDM and breakbeat chillout a la Orb creating a brainy downtempo enchantment, with enough ear candy and captivating melodies to keep one bewildered throughout its entirety.

Finally, the EP ends with a blissful stunner. Reminiscent of seminal mid ‘90s intelligent drum and bass era records played at the wrong speed, Vivid displays Knoll’s unique ability to combine sublime melody with soothing textures, creating a timeless yet unreplicable sound like beams of light peeking into the human psyche.
